An active mindset where meeting the needs of individuals starts with designing for the most, then accommodating when appropriate.

Plans for access and recognizes accommodations may be needed​

Requires intentional, inclusive course design through an equity lens  ​

Utilizes available resources, assistive technologies, tools, and techniques that increase accessibility​

Critical thought course design both instructional experience and layout of materials to learning and plans accordingly to adjust

Teaching with an Accessible Mindset

An approach to teaching and designing instruction that plans for, and honors, the unique learning needs of all students making continual efforts to increase access and make education usable for the most. ​​
